Forum Rules needs to be decided !

Yes guys we need to set some rules for the forum... :)

Like no warez or other "Hey i need serial key for COH !?!?" stuff
You guys know what i mean.. :)

Kyran you can write down the rules and ill make an Announcement that is showed on each forum u enter... (Like i did with Vent. and hamachi Info Announcement)

lets do some Relic forums rules ripping.. they are pro, and know what they are doing.

# If a Mod or Admin tells you something, then do it. T3H G0LD3N RUL3!

# No spam.

# No bumping old threads with inane replies like "lol" or "i agree" or "yawohl!".

# No warez, no porn, no asking for serial keys or cracks.

# No nudity.

# Do not drag threads offtopic, it is annoying.

# Do not post a thread and have the only content of the first post a link to a website with no text to explain the link.

# All posts are to be made in English (exception of support area, see below)

# Do not post the same thread in more than one forum, or make duplicate posts in different threads. Use the 'edit' function, that is what it is for.

# Reward-based advertising is forbidden (such as "click here and win!")

# Do not abuse the quote function, or take peoples statements out of context purposefully.

Languages other than English
You may speak German or Norwegian (so far) in the "Help and Support" sub-forum ONLY. All other posts must be in English. If you can explain your problem well enough in English, then do so, otherwise, we have people who can help you in German or Norwegian if you cannot explain your problem well enough in English.


Remember
USE COMMON SENSE there is nothing worse than a stupid question that answers itself, or asking the impossible, or doing anything else that is common for people of an IQ rating of less than 60...

Them rules are pretty good. I'll try and think of some more from my old forum.
btw I'm seeing many people trying to modify the forums. I'm pretty sure there being stopped, but I'd double-check the forums settings prevent any normal members or guests from modifying. Everything seems in fine order though. This forum is a good choice.:D

No I don't mean that. Usually I look at "who's online" to see what people are doing, and I keep seeing non-members trying to edit stuff on the forums. It might be bots, I don't know, but non-members are trying to do something, and its every day.

How the fuck are they gonna edit a post or a thread ?? lol they CANT ! A guest DONT have permission to edit posts or EVEN make post.. so shut up about that.. lol

All is fine about permissions, well not perfect but no big holes.. :)

ontopic: i think a list of warned spammers who were given offical warning should be showed in as a sticky annoucment like the forum rules something like"spammers of the week" or so , which refreshes every week or month (so ones that the warning effect is dismissed wiould have his/her name taken of the list) to show that we do mean buisness in keeping things clean and also give a more serious physoclogy pressure on those who are being warned not to do it again in the future

Since im a new moderator, I try not to bash around everyone, after all spaming does happen, and i think its ineffective to yell at people to stop it. If we just move or delete their spam, they hopefully will notice if it says "deleted due to spam" or whatever, and they will know not to screw with us becouse we will delete their spam.

We need to remember to encourage descussion, but not so that it makes the forums unreable, and a giant posting contest lol.:D Subtle is always the best way.

Nice list Kyran. I can do a little bit of French, but nothing extensive....really, all I can do is ask where the bathroom is and what my name is. So, if someone needs that, I am all over it, hahaha!
