Well, exciting things are happening here in middle america, and less than 5 min from my house in my town (Parkville). The mighty mo has once again overfilled its banks. This is the same storm unlesashed a EF10 scale (really big) tornado that killed 10 (so far) in Greensburg, Kansas.

i wish it was like that here in AUS, because we are in a bad drought for the last 20 years or so, minimal rainfall is destroying the environment and our farms :(
also we are now at level FIVE water restrictions. not even allowed to wash your car. cannot water the garden. only 150 litres per day per person. that is a 2-3 minute shower and like 1 toilet flush lol
send us some rain mate!

Hey Jonez, I used to live in Parkville/Platte City/Gladstone many years ago. Good luck with the weather.
The bad luck seems to be making its rounds... I swam for eight hours through Hurricane Katrina, lost every stinking thing I own and have been living in a FEMA trailer (can-dominium) for over a year. :(
The water was 20' deep in my yard (which is 16' above sea level)!
Trust me folks, that is something I hope none of you ever have to endure and my heart goes out to those poor folks in Kansas. I know exactly how they feel!

Thanks everyone. The flood is pretty much over up here, they dident even close the levies by the river as it never even crested the highway (The one that we were driving on in the 3rd pic). Its not even close to my house, but I rather hoped it would rise far enough to stop school. Today was the Seniors (18 year olds, fourth year of high school, in the 12th grade, i know in other countries they call it different things) But, ya the seniors had their last day of school, a half day, today, they get out 2 WEEKS early!!! That makes me unhappy.
Hey, Von Jeager, where abouts did you used to live, perhaps i know where it was. Ive lived here all my life.

Jonez, I used to live on NW 71st st... the house with the huge, round, red-rock in the yard. "Base" for many a game of tag!
Lt Soucy, thank you for your kindness, but there are lots of people in this world who are a lot worse off than I am... my new house is nearly complete.
It is actually a wonderful thing to be able to carry all your worldly possessions in one back pack and go camping for six months like I got to do after Katrina. :D
Maybe we should set up a fund to send bottled water to Kyranzor... At least in my FEMA trailer I can flush more than once! Its no wonder he cannot break Relic's new code... he is as constipated as a tick!

Ya, I google earthed that street, and I know exactly where that is. Ive driven through there on quite a few times, when ever i have to go to park hill hs, and i go to church right down the road from there.
Hey, Kyranzor, ill go wash my car just for you, it will make you feel so good at my friviolent use of water. Im killing the ozone arent I? Muhahahah!

Glad your doing ok VJ, katrina must have been nasty.
Current temp right now, 9:45 at night, is 81 degrees F (27 Deg C)
We had to run outside in weights today, about 86 degrees-it sucked so bad.
