I decided to go back to 1.51 because it is the most stable, and I realized that the hotfix was still on my programs list.

It says I need to contact my computer administrator because I do not have the authority to change the file or something.

I am the only user account on my computer and I use windows vista.

Any ideas?

Thank you for posting.

What installer file did you use, it may be very difficult to find out, as i am aware there are alot of them out there.

Also, when you reverted back to 1.51 did you uninstall the game completly?

1 Tip aswell, You should ALWAYS remove ANY and ALL mods from any games before uninstalling the actual game, as issues like this can occur.

To Attempt to fix this issue, Re-Install KMOD with the originall installer file you used prior to reverting to 1.51 THEN attempt to uninstall KMOD.
Our aim here is to replace needed uninstall files, then completly remove KMOD to start again!

the hotfix is just a few pioneer/engineer squad files i think, therefore it will not interfere with your KMOD game.

Its more of a Windows Vista problem, anyway.

There are no files for the hotfix left on my computer, but its showing up on the programs list so its probably somewhere in the registry. I used the installer that expired, probably one of the first hotfix's I got from your site's main page.

No worries, its not messing with my game at all.

Thanks!

TheWarOnAndrew (http://www.kmod.org/kmod_forum/member.php?u=234), Non of the installer files use/save/moddify/or read from the registry of keys part of. If you used an expired installer, it IS possible that the uninstaller has infact expiered.
THE ONLY thing that is saved in the registry is a key to say "add this to Add/Remove list" these are very easily removed by using any RELIABLE registry cleaner. I suggest using CCleaner or CrapCleaner it is here... (http://www.ccleaner.com/download/)
