Equipped with a 50 mm gun Pak 38 L/60 the VK 903b (Ausf H) prototype vehicle [smoke]
It is a light recon tank that was being built at the time with the same line of Panzerkampfwagen II and was in need of more recon.
You assumed right, it is a prototype and a Panzer II, and only one of this was built. Then another idea proposed to outdo it by using another type. These were mostly prototypes that never made it, much like a lot of them. Some were built and tested but then someone else proposed another idea to replace it.

the m-50 ontos was desighned in the 1950s to be the best tank killer of all time, its armed with 6 106mm recoilless rifles, it never actully saw servce as a tank killer, it was used in nam as close support, they would load the 6 guns up with canster rounds, and fire then all at once into the jungle. they were really good for putting holes in things.

Wrong, about 50% of the tank design is British and German, all parts are made and assembled in the USA. Also, the newest generation of Abrams, M1A3, no longer uses the Chobam type armor. It is the same principle but it is not the same. as to the engines, one comes from GE, the AGT-1500, and the other one is Honeywell, the Honeywell LV100. Both companies were founded inside the USA.

Indeed, the M1 has matured nicely since it was brought into service in the 80s. I belive it is on par with the Leos,Challanger and other Western-Nato type tanks, and can still beat the poopy out of most of the Soviet Tanking Arsenal (which mean the Armored Cores of most 3rd world nations and China lol)

I believe, it surpassed all but the leo 2 in the late '80s. It is also better then the newest Russian tank the T-90.

I belive the newest tank out of russia is the T-90s, which they're already selling to the Indians if you woulden't belive it. It says they first entered service in 94.
