View Full Version : how to tell if kmod is installed?
I installed kmod, redid the shortcut to include "G:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -modname KMOD -dev -no movies
Is there a splash screen or something that shows kmod running?

? Did you run the game?
If you installed kmod using OUR installers and moddifyed your shortcut correctly then its installed.
If you want to play run the shortcut you moddifyed
I ran the game, the question is is there a splash screen for KMOD COH, or does the menu and splash screens look the same as regula COH?
What will tell me what version of COH Im running?

ohh
sorry...it is 2am here (almost) and im exhausted ;)
Nothing in the latest version will tell you, OTHER than playing a skirmish or multiplayer game...
I just looked at your location!
Go to bed man!!!
OK< played a skirmish. I noticed that the skin for the US engineer had a yellowish stripe on the back of the helmet that didnt show up on vanilla COH. Am I right in that observation? How much of a degree of difference am I supposed to find on this skin?
Donwloaded KMOD on reccomendations from my clan members (Call of Duty).

LOL
Im good *zzzzzz *
*Pinch in arm*
Umm you probibly are correct in that engineer point, as there are alot of new skins in KMOD
Degree of difference im not sure on though, but ID take a guess at around 50% not sure though, ive played mods for so long i cant remember the normal engineer skin :D
Also...Smart Clan Members for recommending KMOD :D
Now whats this they are saying that I should have a second install of COH if I want to play online?
If I use the regular shortcut for vanilla COH< I should be ok, right?

yes an no...you can install the online will work fine..BUT it will download an patch the game upto 1.7...so then kmod will not work as well, as 1.5, 1.51 is needed

if you play skirmish, just look at the HQ building's build list and you can easily see if it is KMOD or not. There are lots more options to build hehe
